velyn Tully Costa founded Garden Services in 1986 after moving to Brooklyn from Southampton, New York, where she had been a rose gardener for an Italian Count in the early 80's. It is not often that one is lucky enough to weave together different passions into a rich, rewarding career. Evelyn Tully Costa has used her skills as a designer, environmentalist, journalist and radio producer to create gardens, write and talk about gardening and the environment. More about Evelyn Tully Costa.

ailing from Rhinebeck, New York, Kaleb Seigle joined Garden Services in 2007 as head project manager. Born to a master carpenter and raised in small, rural town, Kaleb learned the value of functional beauty and its place in nature, at a very young age. Since then, he has used this knowledge to execute distinctive projects spanning the spectrum of the building trades including masonry, carpentry, electrical, iron work
and plumbing.

Kaleb's detailed familiarity with construction fundamentals allow him to coordinate all operations involved in organizing and implementing our designs. His ability to work with subcontractors, suppliers and plant professionals while maintaining good client relations, is critical to our goal of providing seamless service making the construction and budgeting process productive, transparent and positive..

harlene Spindler comes to Garden Services after graduating with an M. S. from Columbia University’s lauded Landscape Design program. Her skills in rendering, both by hand and CAD, as well as model making lend another dimension to our ability to offer clients the highest degree of visual presentations for their gardens and architectural structures and projects. If we can dream it up, she can render it!

As a life long resident of Maine, Charlene has worked professionally in public horticulture, commercial outdoor, indoor and greenhouse plant management which fostered her sense of ecological land management and permaculture operations. For seven years she worked in private residential, organic kitchen and native cutting gardens.

"I have always had a deep belief in the necessity of surrounding oneself with the beautiful greenery the world has to offer. Gardening has long since given me a great sense of satisfaction as well as an outlet for my creativity. Working in this field allows me to help create and cultivate these feelings for other people."

Charlene also holds a B.S. in Landscape Horticulture from the University of Maine.
