f you can't find the right trellis, arbor, garden gate, fence or pergola in those mail-order catalogs or garden centers, Garden Services will design and build whatever you wish. Working with master carpenter Juan Marcos Myerston(()), we can custom construct any wooden structures required for the space.

Most of our fencework is done by Amendola's Fencing Company (()) to the great satisfaction of our clients. Amendola's works closely with my projects producing high quality fencing that is in step with my design sensabilities. Their commitment to punctuality, good prices and well executed work is hard to find these days amongst many contracting firms.

Mission Style
In keeping with our emphasis on historical context, we've designed and installed woodwork that is unique in its styling and craftsmanship. In this Cobble Hill project we extended the client's passion for Mission style decor into the garden. Maintaining horizontal lines that are consistant throughout the hardscape, this arbor was designed and built with the harmony of the garden in mind — with a hint of the wider lines favored by the Prairie and Western schools of architecture popular in the United States at the turn of the 19th century. Note the notchwork in the cross supports and ample arches. There is also plenty of room for the 250 lb Bull Mastiff, "Bluto" to take his daily strolls!

Arts & Crafts: Asian Fusion
Borrowing from the oriental tradition of stylizing nature, GS designed and supervised the installation of this garden gate, arbor and stairway which supports a mature wysteria. Working in clear cedar, we created a structure that is vertical in fact, but tempered by the delicate horizontal elements spanning the support posts. The cloud motiff was borrowed from the Shinto shrine in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden's Japanese Garden which represents the god of harvests and planting.

Quiet Privacy
Two foot diagonal lattice work makes a nice foil for slate and cobblestone circles.
A Sense of Place
Low fencing with horizontal latticework permites sense of openness while allowing more playful vines and roses to show off without looking too confusing.
